"THE HUMAN BEING IN ANTHROPOCENE" As part of a three-part series of excursions, communication design students from the University of Applied Sciences Darmstadt explored the changes caused by the global climate crisis. Oberhausen in the Ruhr, Weißwasser in Lusatia and Wegberg in the Rhineland. They are all linked by the extraction of fossil fuels and the resulting changes in rural and urban areas. This publication, which I produced with the support of Felix Josy, Amerie Jackson and Leah Fritsch, brings together the students‘ diverse photographic results (including my series) and combines them into a subjective snapshot of the tipping point we are at.
